A Little Annafaith Kids on the Road: Recap of the Children's Club Tradeshow in NYC!

A Little Annafaith Kids' booth at Children's Club Exhibition in NYC

One of my favorite parts of working in the fashion industry is getting to participate in tradeshows and other events. It’s always so motivating to meet other designers and retailers, see what’s trending for babies and children today, and of course receive great feedback on our stylish yet modest designs for little girls! What better opportunity could there be to network with other children’s fashion experts and renew my own passion for design than to hit the Big Apple?

Earlier this month, I traveled, along with my wonderfully supportive husband, to the Javits Center in New York City for ENK’s semiannual Children’s Club show. Some of the biggest names in children’s fashion, accessories, footwear, toys and gifts were exhibiting right alongside A Little Annafaith Kids, which was both exhilarating and inspiring! I attended the show with two main goals: to broaden my horizons as a designer and to expand my business’ wholesale accounts, something that’s been a big focus for me all year.

Happily, I can say I achieved both goals! I met so many nice people, including owners of children’s clothing companies from as far away as New Zealand. It was really eye-opening to hear about their journey in this industry, and how their businesses have grown over time. It made me all the more excited about A Little Annafaith Kids’ continued progress in serving a need for modest, yet fun and whimsical children’s clothing designs. It’s easy to forget, as a small business owner, that it takes time to reach people, especially when you’re offering something new to the marketplace. There’s certainly a lot of competition for families’ clothing budget, but taking part in this kind of show reminded me there’s truly a need for well-made clothing that our daughters and the other little girls in our lives will be excited to wear!

I also began a great relationship with a retailer in San Juan., Puerto Rico called Hide n’ Seek,- A Kiddie Shop, who will now be carrying our fun designs for little girls in their store. How exciting is that? ( I’m always looking for new opportunities to partner with wholesalers and retailers, so please reach out if you’re interested in connecting!)

More than anything, participating in the Children’s Club show really fueled my fire for future events! I’m really looking forward to my next tradeshow and in bringing our philosophy of providing high-quality, durable, stylish and designed-with-love little girls’ fashions to an ever bigger audience!
